Information about post-graduate programs for doctors in Uzhhorod National University

We provide education for people, who have a high-school education and a medical diploma. Their education must be equivalent to the master’s degree in medicine in Ukraine. Also they must have an active medical license, as per the requirements of the country of current medical practice. The equivalence of their education is inspected by the university and there may be a need to verify it via nostrification procedure. 

All PG Courses are conducted in English or Ukrainian. A2-B1 Ukrainian language skills are necessary for communication between the student and the patient in the clinic. We provide Ukrainian language courses in the University that last up to  6 months.  The following PG courses (1 week to 9 months in length) and Masterclasses (1-3 days) on relevant topics are:

In 2023/2024 academic year the following PhD courses are available (duration – 4 years):

1. Neurosurgery
2. Oncology
3. Obstetrics and Gynecology
4. Internal disease 

Admission to all PG courses is available from the 1st of September till 30th of June.

The University has a Master’s course in Public Health. Admission is held two times a year (winter and summer semester).

Tuition fees (in 2023/2024 academic year): 

PG courses – 100 USD per week (for courses up to 3 weeks), 400 USD per month (for courses from 1 month)

Masterclasses and Workshops – individual (from 50 USD)

PhD – 4000 USD per year
