The youth exchange continues!

The youth exchange continues!

Sharing valuable experience, acquiring new skills, learning about the culture, traditions, and peculiarities of neighboring countries - all this became possible for six students of Uzhhorod National University thanks to an Erasmus+ internship in Rzeszow, Poland. Angelina Hlyvlyas, Alla Savchuk, Oleksandra Svezhentseva, Iryna Sheshenia, Kateryna Maksymova, and Erika Stanko were lucky enough to study at the next session of the Youth Exchange project, which UzhNU implements in partnership with the INPRO youth association, from January 28 to February 3. Overall, the program was attended by young people aged 16 to 20 from Slovakia, Hungary, Ukraine, and Poland. The main topic of this Erasmus+ youth exchange was videography, and during the week the multinational teams managed to cope with a variety of tasks - from discussing their favorite movies and actors to creating their own videos about socially important issues.

"It is worth noting that this time the workshops were devoted not only to the basics of planning and shooting a mini-film, but also to discussions on global issues of the day. The creative participants were able to show the meaning of the main goals of sustainable development through the footage." says Erika Stanko, a student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Human Health.

The benefits of the program, of course, were not limited to the knowledge and experience gained in filmmaking. One of its most important aspects was the cultural exchange between young people from different countries. In just a few days, thanks to constant teamwork and free time spent together, Ukrainian students made new friends and learned a lot about Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia.

In addition, an undeniable advantage of participating in the Youth Exchange was the intensive practice of communicating in English. The friendly atmosphere and the need to communicate helped to overcome language barriers and contributed to the deepening of skills that are essential for a modern student.

Students returned home full of motivation and unforgettable experience. This is also thanks to the hospitality of Polish volunteers who were constantly with them throughout the week, organizing interesting activities, excursions, interactive classes and assignments.

"Our trip to Rzeszow made an unforgettable impression on me. During our week in Poland, we managed to get acquainted with the history of the city and Polish culture. I was immediately fascinated by the architecture and atmosphere. Since this week was dedicated to cinematography, every day brought new challenges. Nevertheless, we managed to create a wonderful social video, which we presented at the end of the week. All of this contributed to our personal growth and improvement of our English language skills. It was a wonderful experience full of opportunities, international acquaintances and vivid impressions," says Alla Savchuk, a master's student of the Faculty of Philology.

"I am extremely grateful for the unique experience I gained through participation in this exchange program! During the week we performed various tasks, each of which was exciting and contributed to our personal growth. I gained knowledge of the basics of cinema, improved my skills in spoken English, and had the opportunity to meet and communicate with students with similar interests," shares her impressions Angelina Glyvlias, a freshman at the Faculty of Philology.

And, of course, it is impossible to disagree with the words of Kateryna Maksymova, a third-year student of the Faculty of Economics: "This exchange was truly incredible! If I could describe it in one word, it would definitely be "people". I am grateful to UzhNU for the opportunity to study, travel, meet such incredible people and learn something new for myself!"

The material was prepared by the participant of the international youth exchange Oleksandra Svezhentseva, first-year student majoring in Journalism and majoring in Information Systems and Technologies.
