Signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between Uzhhorod National University and the Ukrainian Federation of Technological Sports

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed at Uzhhorod National University, a state higher education institution, with the Ukrainian Federation of Technological Sports, a public organization.

On behalf of the university, the document was signed by Rector Volodymyr Ivanovych Smolanka, and on behalf of the Federation, by President Artur Oleksandrovych Bulygin.

The Memorandum defines the main areas of partnership and provides for the pooling of efforts to implement joint initiatives in the fields of education, national-patriotic education, the development of military-technological sports, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.The parties agreed to cooperate on the principles of openness, partnership, and equality, as well as to develop educational and awareness-raising activities aimed at preparing young people for the challenges of the modern world.To ensure effective communication and coordination of joint activities, responsible persons have been designated on both sides.

On behalf of the non-governmental organization “Federation of Technological Sports of Ukraine” (Zakarpattia branch): Yaroslav Oleksandrovych Kucher — branch director; and on behalf of Uzhhorod National University: Vasyl Mykhailovych Rizak — head of the Department of Solid-State Electronics and Information Security.

Areas of Cooperation

The signed Memorandum provides for the implementation of joint events and projects, including educational training sessions, lectures, and seminars for students.

Particular attention is paid to developing skills in tactical and specialized training, tactical medicine, and the provision of first aid, as well as engaging students in volunteer activities.

The cooperation also includes organizing sports events, informational campaigns, and initiatives aimed at fostering active citizenship and a healthy lifestyle.

Delegation Visit and Department Tour

As part of their visit to the university, representatives of the Ukrainian Federation of Technological Sports visited the Department of Solid-State Electronics and Information Security.

The guests were welcomed by the head of the department, Vasyl Mykhailovych Rizak, who introduced them to the department’s activities, educational programs, and facilities.

The delegation was given a tour of the department, during which participants had the opportunity to view the teaching laboratories and modern equipment and learn more about the training of specialists in the field of information security.

The following individuals also participated in the tour:

Petro Markevych — Head of the Department of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine in Zakarpattia Oblast;

Yaroslav Kucher — Head of the Zakarpattia Oblast branch of the Ukrainian Federation of Technology Sports;

Yevhen Vladimirov — Chairman of the National Cyber Competition Committee of the Ukrainian Federation of Technology Sports.

Viktor Kovalchuk — Deputy Head of the Department of Digital Development, Digital Transformation, and Digitalization, and Head of the Division of Digital Transformation, Infrastructure, and Informatization at the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration.

The participants noted the importance of developing cooperation between educational institutions and specialized organizations, particularly in the field of information security and the training of modern specialists.

Prospects for Cooperation

The signing of the Memorandum opens new opportunities for developing a partnership between the university and the Federation. The parties expressed their readiness for active cooperation aimed at implementing joint projects, supporting student initiatives, and strengthening the educational environment.

It is expected that such interaction will contribute to improving the level of student training, developing their practical skills, and fostering an active civic stance.
