Exhibition dedicated to 100th anniversary of the Czechoslovak Republic was officially opened in UzhNU

On Wednesday, November 14, 2018, the exhibition "M,R.Stefanik is an outstanding Slovakian and European diplomat" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of independence of the Czechoslovak Republic, was solemnly opened in the the scientific library of UzhNU. The opening ceremony was attended by the President of Slovakia (1999-2004) Rudolf Schuster, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Slovakia to Ukraine Marek Safin, Consul General of Slovakia in Uzhhorod Miroslav Mojzita, Consul General of the Czech Republic in Lviv Pavel Pasek, the governors of the Kosice and Presov self-governing regions Rastitslav Trnka and Milan Majersky, diplomats, scholars, Transcarpathian artists and journalists.

According to the deputy director of the Scientific Library of UzhNU Viktoria Vorobets the exhibition consists of more than 150 books from the library section “Karpatyka” and includes rare editions that were published at different times in different languages, and also contains stories about the founders of the state T.G.Masaryk and M.R. Stefanik, contemporary periodicals. Photo exhibits were provided by the Consulate General of Slovakia in Uzhhorod.
