Transcarpathian youth has got another opportunity to implement their business ideas

On May 19, a press conference devoted to the Open Youth Competition “Business Initiative of Transcarpathia"  and organized by the NGO "Youth Initiatives of Transcarpathia", Uzhhorod National University and Career Centre of UzhNU was held in the hall of the Academic Council of Uzhhorod National University.

The event was opened by the Vice Rector for Academic Policy and Research of Uzhhorod National University Ihor Korol. He noted that the purpose of the competition coincided with one of the university tasks not only to pass on knowledge and skills to students, but also to form fully developed successful personalities competitive in the labor market and able to start their independent activity after graduation from the university.

"This competition is held for the first time in our region - said Tetyana Buturlakina, the director of the Career Center of UzhNU. – It often happens that young people (who are the target group of the project) are not able to implement their ideas either because of the lack knowledge or financial support, or the lack of determination. However, our competition participants have the opportunity to make the most of their entrepreneurial skills, make their dreams come true or carry out some of their initiatives and creative ideas". It is important that the copyright and privacy of business ideas will be reserved.

Denys Sobol - the head of the NGO "Youth Initiatives of Transcarpathia" - told about the mechanism of the competition and outlined the main stages: during the first stage, running from May 19 till June 22,  business ideas and business projects will be accepted; after selection process, from June 22 till July 22, the participants will be able if necessary to work with professionals, enrich their knowledge and experience; on July 30-31  it is planned to hold the final stage of the project in the format of the Youth Business Forum, where the winners will be announced. There are no restrictions with regards to the topics of projects, but the organizers have identified certain priority areas for our region; they are innovative technology, environment, tourism, energy saving technologies and alternative sources of energy.

Competition details and information about online registration of business ideas can be found online on the website of UzhNU and the NGO "Youth Initiatives of Transcarpathia" website.
