The number of Professors and Associate Professors increased at UzhNU

The first meeting of the Academic Council in the new year was held on February 1, 2016. The report on the results of research work in 2015, the goals set for the next year, the prospects of development of UzhNU campus, etc were discussed at the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting 4 certificates of professor and 31 of associate professor were solemnly handed to the employees of the university. The Rector also congratulated 3 female staff members of the Faculty of Philology, who celebrated their jubilees in January, on their birthdays. These were associate professors of the Department of the Ukrainian Language Iryna Filak and Anastasiya Vegesh and associate professor of the Department of Slovak Philology Yulia Yusyp-Yakymovych.

 The Academic Council voted for the approval of Associate Professor Ivan Kalynych at the position of the Dean of the Faculty of Geography. They also appointed three heads of Departments. Doctor of Medicine, Associate Professor Yevhen Hotko was appointed as the head of the Department of Oncology and Radiology; Doctor of Medicine, Professor Yuriy Andrashko was voted for as the head of the Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases; PhD, Associate Professor Marianna Dobrovolska was appointed as the head of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry.
