EU Information Centre was opened in UzhNU

On October 8^th the 22 EU Information Centre was officially opened at the Faculty of International Policy, Management and Business of Uzhhorod National University. The event was held during the official visit of the representatives of EU Delegation to Ukraine. EU Ambassador, Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinski, Consul General of Hungary László Vidy and Consul General of the Slovak Republic Janka Burjanova, vice-rectors for academic policy and research Myroslava Lendel and Ihor Korol, teachers and students of UzhNU were present at the opening ceremony.

The objectives of the Future Centre are to disseminate information on the European Union and its policy, facilitate access to EU materials and publications and promote student participation in debates on European issues. According to Jan Tombinski, this is the twenty-second EU Information Center in Ukraine, whereas there are about five hundred EU Information Centers across the world.
