The department conducts research according to the approved theme: "Clinical course, pathogenetic mechanisms and treatment approaches in internal diseases in case of comorbidity”. Currently 4 PhD dissertations are getting prepared.

During the department existence more than 200 educational materials have been published. Every year articles are published scientific journals, included in the databases Scopus and Web of Science, as well as in professional scientific journals of Ukraine and foreign publications. The Department teachers take part in Ukrainian and international conferences.
