Webinar for teachers of the “International economic relations” faculty: participation in national competitions of research projects

On November 7, 2025, the first webinar “Participation in national competitions of research projects (Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and National Research Fund of Ukraine)” was held at the Faculty of International Economic Relations of Uzhhorod National University. The webinar was held within the framework of the activity plan aimed at the development of scientific work, in particular, the activation of participation in the submission of projects to national project competitions, raising awareness of grant support opportunities, protecting intellectual property for scientific research results, the development of startup entrepreneurship and the implementation of the principles of open science.  The organizer of the event was Marina Korol, Doctor of economics, Professor of the Department of International Economic Relations, and Deputy Dean for Research of the Faculty of International Economic Relations.

 

The speaker was Kateryna Skubenych, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, head of the research department of UzhNU, and lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology. In her speech, she introduced the participants in detail to the actual competitions of 2025, in particular: the main competition of scientific research projects and scientific and technical (experimental) developments; competition of fundamental and applied research projects of young scientists; state order for the most important scientific and technical (experimental) developments and product to meet priority state needs; competitions for joint international projects (Ukrainian-Lithuanian,  Ukrainian-Slovak, etc.); competitions organized by the National Research Fund of Ukraine.

The speaker paid special attention to new approaches to the evaluation of scientific projects, requirements for scientific supervisors and teams as well as harmonization of national programs with European initiatives, in particular the “Horizon Europe” program. 

The event was an important step in increasing the scientific activity for teachers of the faculty on international economic relations, in particular in the field of project activities.
