UzhNU’s Participation in the 2nd All-Ukrainian Youth Forum on Sustainable Development

UzhNU’s Participation in the 2nd All-Ukrainian Youth Forum on Sustainable Development

On March 13, the 2nd All-Ukrainian Youth Forum and Fair on Sustainable Development took place in Kyiv, bringing together over 600 registered participants and approximately 200 guests in person, and uniting active youth, experts, representatives of civil society organizations, and government agencies from across Ukraine. Uzhhorod National University (Center for Sustainable Development) served as an official partner for the second time.

The event was held at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which served as a platform for discussing the role of youth in sustainable development processes, the country’s recovery, and shaping Ukraine’s future.

Anna Kostyk, a student majoring in “International Relations, Public Communications, and Regional Studies” at Uzhhorod National University, along with students majoring in “Construction and Civil Engineering”—Yuliana Rubish, Iryna Polotniuk, Denys Rokos (Master’s degree) and Vasyl Pryslupskyi (Master’s degree) participated in the forum in person.

The event’s program was packed and included lectures, workshops, and panel discussions. The first session featured presentations by representatives of civil society organizations, who shared practical experience in implementing initiatives in the field of sustainable development.

During the discussions and presentations, participants emphasized the need for active youth participation in social processes, the development of their own initiatives, and shaping the future of the country. Particularly inspiring were the presentations by young speakers who shared their own stories of bringing ideas to life and achieving results in various fields.

Participation in the forum was a valuable experience that helped rethink the role of youth in modern society. One of the key takeaways was the realization of the need for active engagement in youth movements and initiatives, as it is through participation in such processes that Ukraine’s future is shaped. It became clear that the desire for change requires concrete actions, responsibility, and a willingness to influence the development of society.

The forum featured panel discussions during which participants discussed youth employment opportunities, the development of sustainable business, and collaboration between the education sector and the labor market. The Job Fair drew particular attention, where students had the opportunity to speak directly with employers, learn about current job openings, internships, and educational programs.

The forum served as a space where young people could present their ideas, exchange experiences, and establish valuable contacts for their future professional development. Such events contribute to the formation of a new generation of professionals who will develop innovative and sustainable approaches to Ukraine’s economy.

Students’ participation in such initiatives demonstrates their proactive stance, willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to shaping the country’s future.

Thus, the 2nd All-Ukrainian Youth Forum on Sustainable Development served not only as a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences but also as a source of motivation for young people’s continued active participation in the nation’s development processes.
