Uzhhorod National University Establishes Ties with the University of Central Lancashire, the UK
On Tuesday, 31 May, there took place an online meeting between Myroslava Lendiel, the Vice-Rector for scientific and pedagogical work of Uzhhorod National University, the staff of the International Relations Department and Paul Rowe, who is the Director of Partnerships (U.K. and International) at the University of Central Lancashire. The meeting was moderated by Anzhela Stashchak, a project manager of the leading transnational education consultancy Cormack Consultancy Group .
The meeting was held within the framework of the «Unity» program, which focuses on establishing cooperation between Ukrainian higher education institutions and British universities, personalizing assistance received from partner HEIs aimed to support, restore and develop Ukrainian universities during the war as well as in the long term, to form partnerships and alliances for joint work and further mutual internationalization.
During the meeting, the scientific and educational potential of universities was presented and prospects for future cooperation were discussed, including academic exchanges of teaching staff members and students, the development of scientific cooperation and joint grant projects. Programs and opportunities to support IDPs were also dwelt upon.
The history of the University of Central Lancashire dates back to 1828. It is located in the city of Preston, the county of Lancashire. About 24 thousand students study at the university.
