UzhNU, the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration and Donetsk Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education signed a memorandum

On Friday, April 1, 2023, Uzhhorod National University, together with the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration and Donetsk Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education became signatories of a memorandum of cooperation. The subject of the memorandum is interaction and cooperation with the aim of activating and improving educational activities and improving the conditions for providing educational services, effective professional development of teachers; coordination, development and evaluation of training programmes and the training process; mobilization, distribution and effective use of educational resources.

Vice-rector for academic affairs and research Ihor Korol emphasizes: "During our cooperation in the field of education and science we will efficiently use our opportunities to promote the development of scientific and innovative potential. In particular, we will jointly organize training courses for primary and secondary school teachers, and those working at preschool education institutions. Uzhhorod National University has already started this work and held the first courses for primary school teachers. These courses received good feedback from the participants thanks to the involvement of the best employees of both the university and leading specialists in the area of primary education of Ukraine. Owing to the cooperation, our activities will develop even more powerfully and on a larger scale.

As of next week, we are launching new courses for improving the qualification of preschool, primary and secondary school teachers within the framework of our cooperation. Moreover, special training courses will be held for managers of such institutions. The courses will be as practical as possible. We will consider such topical issues as online education, adaptation to new conditions, psychological and social aspects of education under martial law. Therefore, we are sure that the courses will be popular and will be useful for their participants.

Donetsk Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education has extensive experience in this field. And we are sure that such synergy of three institutions will give high results. Because of the hostilities in the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education is currently located in Uzhhorod. We are helping the institute, in particular, we will provide the team with premises and other necessary facilities. The employees of the institute, together with the scientific and pedagogical staff of UzhNU, will be involved in conducting the courses."
