Representatives of Catholic University in Ružomberok (Slovakia) paid a visit to UzhNU

On Tuesday, March 13, 2018, the Rector of UzhNU, Professor Volodymyr Smolanka, Vice-rector for International Relations, Professor Myroslava Lendel and the head of the Department of Psychology, Associate Professor Uliana Mykhailyshyn, held a working meeting with the representatives of Catholic University in Ružomberok. The Slovak university was represented by the director of Juraj Páleš Institute in Levoča, the head of the Department of Preschool Pedagogy, doc. Paed Dr. Vladimír Klein, Ph.D., and Professor of Catholic University in Ružomberok Ph.D. Olga Bench.

 The main issues of cooperation discussed by the representatives of the two universities were the ones of holding joint international scientific and practical conference on the topical issues of pedagogy and psychology, preparation of joint scientific projects, and exchange of experience in the field of inclusive education, etc.

 SHEI “UzhNU” has been actively collaborating with the above-mentioned Slovak university within the framework of Erasmus + program since September 2017, in particular, in the fields of history and theology. In the 2017-2018 academic year, six Erasmus scholarships for master and postgraduate students are provided for the purposes of teaching and sharing experience between the two universities. This semester, a postgraduate student of the Faculty of History and International Relations of UzhNU Yevhen Mandryk is studying in Ružomberok within the framework of collaboration between the universities and is conducting research on the history of the Greek Catholic Church. Michaela Chovancova, the head of the international department of Catholic University in Ružomberok, is currently in UzhNU to exchange experience with her Ukrainian colleagues.
