Prospects of the university development and the use of other universities’ experience were discussed during the TEMPUS project working meeting at UzhNU
On March 1, 2016 a working meeting of the university management and the team of the TEMPUS project entitled «Fostering the Knowledge Triangle in Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova - FKTBUM» took place in the Academic Council assembly hall of Uzhhorod National University. Project goals and objectives were discussed, results and achievements were analyzed.
The Rector of UzhNU Volodymyr Smolanka told about the results of training at the University of Latvia (Riga), where he had just returned from. Such trainings within the project are provided for university executives for them to be able to share the progressive experience in implementing the knowledge triangle, strengthening cooperation of science and education with business, enhancing innovation, transferring technologies and applying appropriate management approaches in this area.
While in Riga, Mr.Smolanka got acquainted with the structure and organization of work of the University of Latvia where 13,000 students are trained at 13 faculties. As a result of the visit, a framework cooperation agreement between the universities was signed.
