New student council president has been elected

April 25, 2017 was an important day for Uzhhorod National University - students elected a new president of the student council. It’s already the second election of a student council president at UzhNU.

In order to make voting more efficient, the CEC (Central Election Commission) members decided to organize eight polling stations, which were opened from the early morning. The polling stations were working in different buildings of UzhNU. So, for example, students of the Faculties of Foreign Languages, Social Sciences, Philology, Geography and Mathematics voted at polling station #2, which was operating in the lobby of the main building of the university.

More than 2,500 students voted in the election. The winner or the race was  Viktoria Mykulyanets with 1442 votes. The second place was taken by Taras Hrynchak with 703 votes and the third was Pavlo Velychko with the result of 537 votes.

 Congratulations to all the candidates on the completion of electoral competition and Uzhhorod National University on electing a new president of the student council.
