Dear colleagues, country fellows!

Today at dawn, the dictator of Russia launched a large-scale military invasion of Ukraine. A number of Ukrainian cities andinfrastructure facilities have been hit by missiles and bombs.

In this psychologically difficult and tense situation, we all must act with a fiery heart, a cool head and an unshakable faith in the strength and courage of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, support of our friends and allies. It is important not to panic and to execute our job responsibilities. We are confident that our entire staff will provide maximum assistance to our Armed Forces as we feel this is our moral duty and the call of the heart!

Since the country is under martial law, we urge everyone to be vigilant, not to succumb to information provocations, to obtain information about events only from the official websites of the state structures and local governments, authoritative media, to adequately respond to situations that may occur under martial law.

Uzhhorod National University proceeds with the educational process in the distance format. The safety of the students and staff is our priority. We keep on working, staying calm and believing! Thanks to the joint efforts of each of us, we will protect our Freedom and Independence from the encroachments of Ukraine’s enemy!
