Director of the Institute - Petro Tokar, Ph.D. in Sociology, works on a voluntary basis.

Petro Tokar's main research directions within the Scientific Research Institute of Migration and Demography are focused on studying the pressing issues of migration policy in Ukraine, monitoring the migration process in the region and the country, and exploring the experiences of managing immigration and transnationalism in European Union countries.

In addition to his mentioned roles, Petro Tokar has been involved in educational activities since 2020 at the Department of International Studies and Social Communications (teaching courses on key aspects of Ukraine's foreign policy, transnational relations, immigration, etc., at a 0.25 workload). He is also engaged in researching issues related to Ukraine's European integration and the implementation of the international project of the Jean Monnet Transcarpathian Centre, which focuses on researching European development strategies at Uzhhorod National University.

Petro Tokar holds a Ph.D. in Sociology and serves as an associate professor at the Department of International Studies and Social Communications. He is also a research associate at the Center for Eurointegration Studies and serves as the director of both the Scientific Research Institute of Migration and Demography and the Jean Monnet Transcarpathian Centre for researching European development strategies at Uzhhorod National University.
