With the participation of the personnel potential of the Institute, the following research works were carried out:

• "Effect of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs on the incidence of colon neoplasms and associated gastrointestinal and cardiovascular lesions."
• "Clinical-pathogenetic justification of differentiated treatment of iron-deficiency anemia in patients with Helicobacter-associated diseases."
• "Optimization of prevention and treatment of obesity and diabetes in Helicobacter pylori-associated diseases.»

In 2011, the international scientific and practical conference "Actual issues of family medicine" was held under the auspices of the Research Institute of Family Medicine. Based on the materials of the conference, theses were published and a separate issue of the Scientific Bulletin of the Uzhhorod University, "Medicine" series, was published.

The Research Institute of Family Medicine was a co-organizer of the international scientific and practical conference "Current issues of screening and prevention of diseases in the practice of a family doctor", which took place on April 15-16, 2014 in the city of Uzhhorod.

With the participation of the Institute, on April 21-22, 2015, the international scientific and practical conference "The influence of primary health care on the behavioral determinants of the population for the prevention of socially dangerous and chronic non-communicable diseases in the conditions of state and insurance health care" was held in the city of Uzhhorod.

The Institute was a co-organizer of the international scientific conference "The Interdisciplinary Face of Medicine", which was held on October 15, 2015. 19 reports were delivered as part of the conference, theses were published in the journal Wiadomości Lekarskie.

Employees of the Institute were the organizers of the international scientific and practical conference "Possibilities of preventive and curative influence on socially significant diseases in primary health care institutions", which took place on April 12-13, 2016 in the city of Uzhhorod.

The Research Institute of Family Medicine was a co-organizer of the international scientific and practical conference "Modern problems of diagnosis and treatment of obesity and its complications, and the role of the family doctor in their prevention", which took place on April 26-27, 2017 in the city of Uzhhorod.

In 2017, with the participation of the Research Institute of Family Medicine, a World Bank project was implemented - short-term trainings (information courses and internships) of medical staff in general practice - family medicine and emergency medical assistance.

On April 18-19, 2018, the international scientific and practical conference "Current issues of providing medical care on the basis of primary care" was held in the city of Uzhhorod on the initiative of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education and Pre-University Training and the Institute of Family Medicine of the State Medical University "UzhNU".

This year, the Institute is a co-organizer of the 19th Congress of the World Federation of Ukrainian Medical Societies (WFUMS), which will be held on October 27-29, 2022 in Uzhhorod.

Thanks to conducting international clinical research on the basis of the Research Institute of Family Medicine, the department's employees became co-authors of a number of publications in international publications with an Impact factor.
