UzhNU was presented to MOST European project participants

42 young people from Croatia, Italy, Poland, Serbia, Georgia, Turkey and Ukraine have been visiting Uzhhorod since March 25. They are all participants of the project MOST European (European bridge), which aims to discuss and promote European values ​​and democracy. The goal of the project is to build a so-called bridge between young people across the continent. Uzhhorod was selected as a city located close to the border with the Schengen area. The youth are planning to discuss, in particular, the prospects and the future of Europe.

At the meeting with the participants of MOST European project, the Mayor of Uzhhorod Bohdan Andriyiv noted that Uzhhorod was a city of students. For example, only Uzhhorod National University enrols more than 13,000 students, which is more than 10% of the city population. He also mentioned that hundreds of foreign students also studied at UzhNU, which was an indicator of a high level of security in the city.

The chairman of the Student Council of UzhNU Oleksand Varshava told about the cooperation of youth with the city officials last year, joint projects and the Youth Coordination Council. According to him, the Youth Council was created to consolidate the youth and unite NGOs of Uzhhorod. He also announced that the Youth Forum would be held the following month and told about the plans to create a youth center. The city officials, in response, informed about their readiness to support and co-organize "Youth international forums" in Uzhhorod.

During the meeting, the guests were able to learn about the youth projects implemented in our city, including international ones.
