UzhNU delegation visited the University of Rzeszow

During the visit to Rzeszow (Republic of Poland), Professor Volodymyr Smolanka, the rector of Uzhhorod National University, and members of the Ukrainian delegation discussed the ways of implementing the cooperation agreement between partner universities, joint "Visegrad" concept of innovative development for 2015-2025, and Erasmus and Horizon-2020 programmes with their Polish colleagues and the rector of the University of Rzeszow Sylwester Czopek.

 Members of the Ukrainian delegation got acquainted with the educational and research activities of the departments and research institutes of the Medical Faculty, implementation of the training programmes for nurses, experience of creation and functioning of the university centers for natural sciences and medical research, innovation and technology transfer, regional scientific and technological cluster of green and renewable energy. They exchanged their experience concerning promotion of university research, forms and methods of attracting and training foreign students, the implementation of international programmes of financial, scientific and technical assistance of the EU.

The parties agreed to enhance the exchange of students and teachers, exchange experience of cooperation with economic enterprises and participation in the development of local economic systems, develop cooperation in the fields of biotechnology and medical innovation.
