Representatives of the National Contact Point at UzhNU have told about cooperation with «Horizon 2020"

A National Contact Point has been functioning at UzhNU since the beginning of 2014. Its purpose is to inform scientists about the possibilities of cooperation in the framework of the program «Horizon 2020". The task of the National Contact Point is to assist scientists in finding relevant program directions, help them in writing project applications, assist in successful writing of international research projects and submitting them. There are about 30 Points of the kind in Ukraine.

During the training for teachers and students of UzhNU the director of the National Contact Point prof. Nadia Boyko has told what opportunities the Contact Point offers to scientists. She has noted that "the idea of ​​contact points is to help with filling in the documents, thus increase the chances of a scientific project that is submitted for victory. 

We will inform you about the content and objectives of «Horizon 2020", current challenges and their topics, details of drafting contracts and financial matters."

National Contact Point at UzhNU is working on two priority directions:

Health, demographic changes and welfare.

Food safety, sustainable agriculture, marine research and bioeconomics.

«Horizon 2020" is a new EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (2014-2020) launched in the first half of 2014; its budget is about 80 billion UAH. Universities, research institutions, public and non-governmental organizations, enterprises of all forms of ownership can take part in the program. The consortium must consist of at least three organizations registered in three different Member States or associated states of «Horizon 2020".  Partners from the third countries can also be involved in projects.

Currently, 8 projects funded by the program «Horizon 2020"  are being implemented in Ukraine The total cost of these projects is 762,000 Euro.
