Representatives of UzhNU Participated in a Training on Project Management for Community Development

From 11 to 13 November, staff members of the Research Division of  Uzhhorod National University— Kateryna Skubenych, PhD in Physics and  Mathematics, Head of the Research Departmnet and Lecturer at the Department of  Machine Industry Technology; Tetiana Babuka, PhD, Senior Research Fellow;  and Inha Besehanych, Lead Engineer of the Department of Scientific Grant  Activities — took part in the training “Project Management in the Context of Local  Economic Development.” The event was held within the framework of the UNDP  Development Programme in Ukraine with the support of the Government of  Sweden through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency  (Sida).

Representatives of local authorities, civil society organisations, higher  education institutions, and the business sector worked together to explore effective  approaches to designing, implementing, and scaling local economic development  initiatives.

Participation of UzhNU representatives in the training opened new  opportunities for collaboration with civil society organisations and territorial  communities across Transcarpathian region. The knowledge gained in project  management—particularly regarding the preparation of partnership projects,  project governance, monitoring and evaluation, strategic planning and strategic thinking, as well as the use of the DREAM platform—will support the further  advancement of the university’s project activities.

We express our sincere gratitude to the event organisers, including Esma Umerova, to trainer Nataliia Boiko for her professionalism, insightful  presentations, and practical exercises, as well as to Kateryna Kish for the excellent  professional photographs.

The acquired knowledge, prospects for future cooperation, and the  implementation of new projects will contribute to the sustainable development of  Transcarpathian region and the strengthening of the local economy.
