Number of Scopus articles by UzhNU scentists has increased by 74.7% since 2015
In 2019, scientists of UzhNU published 138 articles in Scopus index journals. According to the Rector of UzhNU, Volodymyr Smolanka, the number of articles published by the staff of the university in the journals covered by Scopus database has increased by 74.7% since 2015.
The dynamics of financing the research projects at UzhNU remains positive. In accordance with the priority directions of the development of science and technology in 2019, the scientists of the University were carrying out 21 scientific projects (9 fundamental, 8 applied and 4 research projects by young scientists) funded by the government with an annual amount of funding equal to 9 million 292 thousand UAH.
In 2019, 5 projects were launched following the results of competitive selection. The total amount of money allocated for the implementation of the above mentioned projects from the General Fund of the Government is 2 million 180 thousand UAH. It is also worth noting that the Center for Joint Use of Scientific Equipment “Laboratory of Experimental and Applied Physics”, which was established at UzhNU, received funding from the government budget in the amount of UAH 2 million in 2019.
In 2019, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine held an annual contest of research projects for young scientists working (studying) in higher educational establishments and scientific institutions under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The implementation of the winning projects starts in January 2020 and will be funded from the General Fund.of the Government. According to the results of the contest, the winner is the project developed by a team of young scientists from Uzhhorod National University.
The results of the research carried out by the staff of UzhNU have been published as monographs, scientific articles, and textbooks. During the reporting period, the scientists of the University prepared 72 monographs, published 27 textbooks, 76 educational and 60 teaching aids, 93 collections of scientific works, including 69 periodicals, and 30 Scientific Bulletins of UzhNU, prepared 3 dictionaries, 3 reference books, 2 bibliographic indexes, published 1232 scientific articles, and 1589 scientific conference abstracts.
