The educational process combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills: students undergo internships at leading travel companies, hotels and organisations both in Ukraine and abroad, which provides them with a deep understanding of modern service standards. Modern curricula meet European standards, teachers are experienced specialists and practitioners, and students are actively involved in scientific conferences, educational projects and international exchanges. As a result, graduates of the faculty are competitive in the national and international labour market, working not only in Ukraine but also in tourist centres in Europe, Asia and North America. The Faculty of Tourism and International Communications is a place where future specialists gain not only education, but also professional confidence, a global vision and a desire to develop Ukraine through quality service, sustainable tourism and intercultural interaction.

– Why are the above-mentioned specialities relevant in 2025?
– In 2025, the specialities ‘Tourism and Recreation’, ‘Hotel and Restaurant Business’ and ‘Urban Transport Logistics’will remain extremely relevant, as they respond to the key challenges and needs of the modern world, particularly in the context of economic recovery, increasing population mobility and Ukraine's integration into the global market.
After periods of global upheaval, including the pandemic and military action, tourism and recreation have taken on a new meaning – not only as a means of recreation, but also as an important factor in the psychological recovery of the population, social stabilisation and economic development of regions. There is a growing demand for specialists who are able to create safe, meaningful and emotionally rich tourism products, develop domestic tourism and attract foreign visitors. This is particularly important for Ukraine, which is actively shaping its new image on the international stage.
The hotel and restaurant business in 2025 will not be just about comfortable accommodation or food, but about creating a comprehensive hospitality experience that combines service, culture, emotions and technology. Digitalisation, environmental responsibility and a personalised approach to customers all require professionals to have not only professional skills, but also a high degree of flexibility, creativity and the ability to work in a multicultural environment. The hotel and restaurant services market is growing, and with it the need for competent managers and innovators.
Another critically important link in the modern world is urban transport logistics, which increasingly determines the efficiency of urban spaces. In 2025, cities will face challenges related to intensive urbanisation, increased transport volumes, the need to reduce emissions and the need for sustainable, safe and fast logistics solutions. That is why urban transport logistics specialists are in high demand, as they are responsible for organising the movement of people and goods within urban agglomerations with maximum efficiency.

– Please tell us about the new features of this year's admission campaign at your faculty.
– Yes, in 2025, we are launching a unique interdisciplinary engineering specialisation J8 ‘Automotive Transport’ under the educational and professional programme ‘Urban Transport Logistics’, which has no analogues among higher education institutions in the Zakarpattia region. To ensure the high quality of the educational process, we involve leading teachers not only from the Faculty of Tourism and International Communications, but also from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, as well as practicing specialists from our own driving school at UzhNU.
Transport logistics is particularly relevant for Ukrainian cities that strive to become more comfortable, safe and accessible. The development of sustainable logistics models not only improves the quality of life of residents, but also contributes to economic dynamics, attracts investment and restores critical infrastructure after war damage.
Urban transport logistics is not just a technical speciality, but a strategic component of the future urbanised world. Its relevance in 2025 is confirmed by global trends, regional needs and prospects for sustainable development, which makes the training of specialists in this field extremely important for Ukraine.
