Department of scientific grant activities
In the current context, researchers at Uzhhorod National University have access to a wide range of international funding programmes that support scientific and innovative initiatives. These include:
- Horizon Europe (thematic clusters such as Health, Digital Technologies, Climate and Environment, among others);
- WIDERA (support for research and innovation institutions in widening countries);
- COST (creation and coordination of international research networks);
- EIT – European Institute of Innovation and Technology (support for innovation through knowledge and innovation communities in areas such as climate, health, energy, manufacturing, and digital technologies);
- NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme (support for applied research and security-related innovation in defence, emerging technologies, environment, cybersecurity, and other areas relevant to partner countries);
- Twinning and ERA-Chair (enhancing institutional research capacity and excellence);
- EU GREEN (an alliance of universities focused on sustainable development);
- Erasmus+ (in particular, Key Action 2 – cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices, including research-related components).
Given the variety and complexity of available calls, researchers may find it challenging to navigate programme requirements, identify relevant opportunities, establish partnerships, or prepare a complete application package.
To facilitate the preparation of high-quality project proposals and to encourage wider participation in international funding schemes, the Research Grant Office at Uzhhorod National University offers an internal support mechanism. Researchers and research teams are invited to submit a brief description of their scientific or innovative idea — at any stage of development, from a general concept to a fully formed project proposal.
Based on the information provided, the Research Grant Office offers support with:
- identifying suitable funding calls and programmes;
- locating national or international partners (if needed);
- assisting with the preparation of a competitive project application.
All submitted information is used exclusively for internal processing by the Research Grant Office. It is not shared with third parties or made public without the prior consent of the author(s).
To submit your idea, please complete the short online form below (it takes no more than 5 minutes). A representative of the Research Grant Office will follow up with you to discuss possible next steps.
