Internship of PhD student from Educational and Scientific Institute of Chemistry and Ecology (Uzhhorod National University, Ukraine) at the University of Presov (Slovak Republic) under the Erasmus+ program
From March 4 to April 2, 2024, PhD student Khrystyna Cherevko(field 101 Ecology) from UzhhorodNationalUniversity completed a scientific traineeship at the University of Presov through the Erasmus+ program. The internship focused on studying the indigenous ichthyofauna of Transboundary Rivers and the bioaccumulation of heavy metals and radionuclides.
Overall, the traineeship helped the participant acquire new study methodologies, establish professional connections and receive guidance pertinent to science research. Additionally, an important part of the mobility program was an excursion to Cold Creek Waterfalls located in the High Tatras region.
Furthermore, the Erasmus+ aided in improved English communication level, cultural adaptability and established valuable professional contacts.
In conclusion, this experience significantly enhanced the participant’s skills and prepared PhD student for the global professional environment.
