Education and science are becoming internationalized at UzhNU

The issue of internationalization of education and scientific research at UzhNU was one of the key issues at the meeting of the Academic Council held on June, 16. Vice-rector for academic policy and research Myroslava Lendel informed the present about the international activity of the university, the training of foreign students, etc. The Academic Council also approved a number of documents regulating the study of foreigners in a higher educational institution.

According to the speaker, this year Uzhhorod university regulated its international activity in the field of academic mobility of students and teachers. During the year, dozens of agreements with foreign universities were signed, students  had the opportunity of one semester study in Poland, Presov, etc.

"The university became a full member of five international organizations - the European University Association, the Danube Rectors” Conference, Eastern European University Network, The Times Higher Education BRICS & Emerging Economies Rankings 2015 and Academic ranking ARES-2016", - said the Vice-rector.

 Currently, the university is implementing five projects funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism (the so called Norwegian grants), including "International Youth Sports Partnership", "To the prosperity of the Slovak-Ukrainian border region through communication", "Sharing know-how for better Schengen border management between Slovakia and Ukraine, Norway and Russia", " Innovative educational methods to support INOV EDUC partnerships”,”Cultural attractions and monuments of the XX century (Historical memory and ethnic map of border areas of Slovakia and Ukraine)”
