The first Carpathian forum was held by medical students in Uzhhorod

On 8-9th May Uzhhorod National University hosted the first Carpathian forum of the Ukrainian Medical Students Association, where the possibility of youth exchanges via the International Federation of Medical Student Associations (IFMSA) was discussed, and an international memorandum with the Slovak association of medical students was signed. 72 students from nine higher educational institutions of Ukraine and invited guests from Kosice (Slovakia) attended the event.

Lawyers of UzhNU conducted a large-scale conference on comparative jurisprudence and established cooperation with the Japanese university

An International Scientific Conference "Modern Issues of Comparative Jurisprudence" was held from the 6th to the 8th of May in UzhNU and brought together over 70 participants from different regions of Ukraine, the USA, Japan, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Moldova, Uzbekistan and Belarus.

International scientific and practical conference "Recent achievements of forensic medical science and examination" took place in UzhNU

The activities of the scientific forum were organized by the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine, State Higher Educational Institution "Uzhhorod National University", P.L.Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, Association of forensic doctors of Ukraine and Association of forensic dentists of Ukraine. The conference has been included in the annual Register of congresses, symposia and scientific conferences held in 2015 and approved by the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine.

The delegation of the Vysočina Region paid a working visit to UzhNU

The Czech delegation visited Transcarpathia on the 28th -30th of April to coordinate efforts on the projects implemented jointly by the Vysočina region of the Czech Republic and the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine. The program of cooperation for the year 2015 comprises 28 projects worth a total of 6 million CZK.

Lecturers of the Faculty of Economics expand international cooperation

On April 29-30 an international scientific-practical conference "Entrepreneurship and innovation in business" was held in Presov (Slovakia). The delegation of the Faculty of Economics of UzhNU consisting of the Dean Associate Professor V.V. Serzhanov, Deputy Dean V.N. Herzanych, Head of the Department of economic theory Associate Professor O.S. Molnar, Professor. N.Y Kubiniy and head of the Department of accounting and auditing Professor Y.Y. Dankiv participated in the conference.

Director of the SRI of ecclesiastical and state law and church and state relations has won DAAD scholarship

According to the official report, an independent selection committee of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD - Der Deutsche Akademische Austausch Dienst) in the city of Bonn has taken a decision to provide the Director of the SRI of ecclesiastical and state law and church and state relations, Candidate of Juridical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of International Law of the Law Faculty of UzhNU Oleksandr Bilash (Archimandrite Yevfrosyn) with a scholarship under the "Research Stays for University Academics and Scientists" programme for the period of 3 months.

Ukrainian and foreign scientists were looking for the vector of development of financial and credit system of Ukraine at the conference in UzhNU

On April 23-25, the Department of Finance and Banking of the Faculty of Economics of UzhNU held an International scientific and practical conference "Financial and credit system - vector of development for Ukraine", which was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of UzhNU. The three-day scientific event of this level was held for the first time and brought together about 200 researchers and practitioners from different regions of Ukraine and abroad to discuss financial and economic issues and find ways of their solution.

Memorandum on the establishment of the International Consortium of Universities has been signed at the conference held in UzhNU

International Scientific and Practical Conference «Education Mobility, Innovation Culture and Social Responsibility as the Resources of Competitiveness of European Universities» supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has taken place in UzhNU. Transcarpathian science has got a chance to become known all over the world

At the end of March, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Kvit and the EU Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation Carlos Moedas signed the Agreement between Ukraine and the EU on Ukraine's participation in the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation "Horizon 2020". "Ukraine joins the European scientific programme of such scale for the first time and it gives Ukrainian scientists the opportunity to join the research family of the European Union", - said Carlos Moedas at the signing ceremony.

Canadian Ambassador spoke about borders in UzhNU

On April the 14th, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Roman Vashchuk visited UzhNU and delivered a lecture "Life in the border region". Transcarpathians have good chances to study and do research in US universities as Fulbright Scholarship winners

Scholars and representatives of one of the most respected academic programs for students and scholars - the Fulbright Program - visited Transcarpathia. Twelve American Fulbrighters presented their research projects to students and lecturers of UzhNU and reported on the results achieved in close cooperation with Ukrainian researchers during their visit to Ukraine. Program managers also presented opportunities for Transcarpathian youth and researchers.

NATO information centre opened in UzhNU

Representatives of the Republic of Lithuania visited Zakarpattya to establish cooperation in the region and, in particular, inform local people about NATO activity. For this purpose NATO information centre has been opened in Uzhhorod National University.

16 лютого на філологічному факультеті презентували словник біблійних висловів шістьма мовами (українською, словацькою, російською, білоруською, англійською та німецькою) під назвою «Лепта Библейской мудрости», який нещодавно вийшов друком у Білорусі й над укладанням якого працювали науковці Німеччини, Словаччини, Росії, Білорусі та України.

УжНУ співпрацюватиме з Університетом ім. Бабеша-Бойяї у м. Клуж-Напока – одним із найбільших державних вищих навчальних закладів Румунії. Відповідної домовленості досягли уклали ректори Володимир Смоланка та Іоан-Аурел Поп під час візиту очільника нашого вишу до Румунії.

Ректор УжНУ єдиний з усього пострадянського простору викладає на найпрестижніших курсах європейських нейрохірургів

Тільки 30 нейрохірургів з усієї Європи входять до тренувального комітету Європейської асоціації нейрохірургів. Щороку вони читають лекції для колег віком від 25 до 40 років на курсах, які є одними з найбільш престижних у світі медицини й потрапити на котрі можна тільки після прискіпливого фахового відбору. Єдиним представником з пострадянського простору серед лекторів є ректор Ужгородського національного університету, доктор медичних наук, професор Володимир Смоланка.

Поморська академія надає нашим студентам півроку безкоштовного навчання

29 студентів математичного, інженерно- технічного, історичного, біологічного факультетів та факультету інформаційних технологій УжНУ навчалися з жовтня до січня у Поморській академії Слупська, що в Польщі. Договір про співпрацю між вишами, який надає можливість студентам УжНУ безкоштовно навчатися протягом одного семестру в Поморській академії, діє з червня. Витрати за навчання і проживання бере на себе польська сторона.

Ужгородський університет ініціював створення мережі «Сталих університетів»

Ужгородський національний університет та Університет Вінніпегу (Канада) 29 січня провели онлайн-конференцію, під час якої було обговорено концепцію «сталого університету» та моделі її впровадження в Манітобі та українських вишах.
