"Innovation as a Service for Accelerated Innovation Implementation and Industrial Transition in Industrial Rural and Remote Areas with Low Innovation Potential in the Danube Region – IaaS4DR, DRP0200211"
(scientific supervisor – Dr. Sci. in Economics, Assoc. Prof. V.V. Serzhanov)
Implementation period: January 2024 – June 2026.
Goal: The project focuses on developing new models for supporting innovation and technological transition based on the Innovation as a Service (IaaS) principle, which combine educational, coordination, and expert services.
The main objective of the project is to study the problems of innovation implementation in regions and the business environment, analyze structural changes, and examine the challenges that have intensified in recent years, particularly after the start of the full-scale war. Within the initiative, urban innovation culture and risk management issues are also being studied. The IaaS4DR project is innovative because it is based on a quadruple-helix model, in which the consumer of the respective service is viewed not as a passive element, but as an active participant in the transfer of innovations – it is they who determine needs, test solutions, and provide feedback.
Result: Within the project, an online platform has been created, which provides training programs for representatives of business, entrepreneurs, authorities, and civil society, and is intended to provide practical knowledge for the implementation of innovations.
