Olena Tabanyukhova took part in the international conference in Australia

Kaya (Noongar Aboriginal “Hello”) from a beautiful overseas country.

Olena Tabanyukhova, English teacher of the Department of Applied Linguistics, Faculty of International Economic Relations, UzhNU, took part in the international conference "Applied Linguistics and Language Teaching: Making Connections", held at Curtin University in Perth, Australia in November 25-27, 2019.

Although Applied Linguistics and Language Teaching are distinct, they are interrelated with each informing the other in terms of research and pedagogy. Therefore, the theme of the conference provided an opportunity for discussion about how links can be made between the two areas within Australia and internationally.

The 2019 biannual combined Applied Linguistics Association of Australia and the Applied Linguistic Association of New Zealand (ALAA-ALANZ) conference united researchers, language professionals, and interested community members from all over the world.

Olena Tabanyukhova is very grateful to Rhonda Oliver, Conference Convener, Professor and Head of School of Education, Curtin University, and the Organizing Committee for their tremendous support and hospitality.
