The TUL has hosted a working meeting of the partners of the international project “Empowering High Technologies for Higher Education Institutions” (Skills2Scale)

On April 23-24, the Technical University of Liberec (TUL) hosted a working meeting of the Skills2Scale project partners, which included partner presentations, a workshop, and visits to local innovation ecosystems to facilitate knowledge sharing. This working meeting was attended by the staff of Uzhhorod National University: Nadiia Boiko - Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Rector's Advisor on Innovations, Head of the Department of Medical and Biological Disciplines; Hanna Kostyovyat - Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Finance and Banking, Coordinator of the UzhNU Startup Center; and Kateryna Skubenych - Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Head of the Research Department, Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology. Also on behalf of UzhNU, the meeting was attended by a stakeholder Vyacheslav Rogov, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Intellectual Digital Economy at the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding.

The meeting began with a presentation of potential scientific areas of cooperation between all partners of the consortium. Nadiia Boiko presented the university's achievements and possible cooperation in three priority research areas: “Mathematical Sciences and Natural Sciences”, “Biology and Healthcare”, and “Social Sciences”.

There was also an opportunity to visit the scientific laboratories of the Technical University of Liberec for the participants of the working meeting.

The students of the Technical University of Liberec presented their start-up project - a racing car.

Representatives of SBC TUL Student Business Club shared their experiences. SBC TUL organizes various events, such as seminars and lectures, which focus mainly on the development of business and entrepreneurship among young people. The main task is the annual START-UP TUL competition, where students have the opportunity to present their start-up projects, which they then work on intensively under the guidance of mentors.

A meeting with representatives of the local innovation center was organized for the participants of the working meeting, where they were introduced to its structure and work on promoting and transforming innovative ideas into successful businesses. In particular, the participants visited Lipo.ink (https://lipo.ink/), a non-profit organization established as an independent unit of the Regional Development Agency. The company provides consulting assistance, the opportunity to work in a coworking center and helps to implement innovative projects.

The Skills2Scale working meeting provided an opportunity to share innovative experiences and best practices, as well as outline future directions for scientific cooperation between the consortium partners.
