Fedir Sándor is the laureate of the Person of the Year competition in Hungary

Professor from the trenches Fedir Sándor became the laureate of the Person of the Year competition in Hungary. "He is a model that will help to solve interstate relations problems," says Esik Sándor, editor-in-chief of The Voice of Hungary (Magyar Hang).

A total of 4 laureates were nominated, including a combattant of the 101st Transcarpathian Territorial Defense Brigade, professor of UzhNU Fedir Sándor, a well-known sportsman Ilysh Fani, an activist Litkai Gergel and the "Dietas Magyar Musza" community. "Dietas Magyar Musza" community (he Union of Liberal Intelligentsia of Hungary) was declared the winner of the competiotion.

It was decided to transfer the monetary prize for the victory in the nomination to the needs of Transcarpathian Hungarians who are currently fighting in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the east of the country.

"Owing to people like Fedir Sandor, we learn about the events at the front, about the way they live there. It is extremely important, since the Hungarian media are dominated by the narratives of "vatniks", says Esik Sándor.

Caring Hungarians have also decided to create a community to collect and transfer aid for our military.

The "Person of the Year" contest in Hungary is held every year by the Voice of Hungary magazine, and the winners are chosen by the readers of the outlet.
