17 international agreements and establishment of the Science Park are among the achievements of UzhNU in 2015
Vice-Rector for research Ihor Studenyak reported on the results of research work for the last year and outlined the goals for the next one at the meeting of the Academic Council on February, 1st 2016.
According to the Vice-Rector, last year the university implemented 27 research projects (23 fundamental and 4 applied ones). Last year the establishment of the Science Park of the university was completed. On September, 7 2015 Co Ltd Science park "Uzhhorod National University" was entered in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities. It should facilitate the introduction of scientific inventions and promote business contacts. According to the university managers, several companies are interested in the developments of university employees.
UzhNU became one of the developers of the Regional Development Strategy of the Transcarpathian region until 2020, which was approved by the Transcarpathian Regional Council in March 2015.
More than 1,160 members of the teaching staff of the university, including 134 Doctors and 675 PhDs representing 109 departments of 21 faculties, were involved in the research work in 2015. 71 research works of UzhNU departments were approved and passed state registration. 4 registered initiative research works were completed.
