UzhNU signed a memorandum of cooperation with St. Martin's Hospital (Mukachevo)

On Friday, October 28, the rector of UzhNU, Volodymyr Smolanka, and the director of St. Martin's Hospital (Mukachevo), Yevhen Meshko, signed a memorandum of cooperation. According to this document, students of UzhNU will be able to study at university and work at St. Martin's Hospital simultaneously. Ivan Myronyuk, the vice-rector for research, was also present at the ceremony of signing the memorndum.

"This is the first memorandum of Uzhhorod National University, which provides for dual education. We are going to work on the improvement of the model according to which our students will study, I believe that this is an important step, a combination of study and professional work, and it will become a successful example for further similar programs," emphasized the rector of UzhNU, Volodymyr Smolanka.

 "Our hospital is at your service, the facilities, doctors, and patients, we are ready to cooperate in many directions, including clinical residency, internship. I believe that the signing of this memorandum is the beginning of a truly great cause," Yevhen Meshko, the director of St. Martin's Hospital, is convinced.

Currently, 20 UzhNU students majoring in physical therapy and occupational therapy are expected to participate in the dual education program. It will also be possible for students to live in the premises of the hospital, and we are considering the possibility of expanding cooperation by involving students of medicine, nursing and other medical specialties in the future.
