Uzhhorod University celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Faculty of Mathematics and Digital Technologies
On 6 October, a ceremony was held in the grand hall of the rectorate of Uzhhorod University on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Faculty of Mathematics and Digital Technologies. The event was attended by representatives of the regional leadership, the city council, the university, the faculty, colleagues from other departments, students, alumni, partners and other invited guests.
The first STEM laboratory of the «STEMLab Synergy» project was opened at the Faculty of Mathematics and Digital Technologies of UzhNU
On 6 October 2026, a STEM laboratory for robotics, 3D modelling and data processing was opened at Uzhhorod University, at the Faculty of Mathematics and Digital Technologies. It became the first of four laboratories being created at the university within the project «STEMLab Synergy: Forming Future Skills in Ukrainian and Romanian Schools». The project is being implemented by a consortium of project partners under the leadership of the NGO «Association of Project Managers «Yadro» within the framework of the Interreg VI-A NEXT Romania–Ukraine Programme 2021–2027 (with the financial support of the European Union). It is symbolic that the opening coincided with the 60th anniversary of the independent Faculty of Mathematics and Digital Technologies.
