How does culture shape diplomacy, language build understanding, and technology transform education and the arts? On 5–6 November, students and early-career researchers will come together to explore these questions. Join the conversation and discover ideas for your own research.

A Changing World. Ideas Worth Sharing.

The Department of Multicultural Education and Translation invites you to the 5th International Conference for Students and Early-Career Researchers, “Global Challenges and Cultural Interactions: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on the Contemporary World,” taking place on 5–6 November 2026.

The programme brings together topics that cross disciplinary boundaries and connect with everyday life and future careers. Find the discussions that interest you:

  • Diplomacy and international relations: soft power, strategic communication, Ukraine’s international image, and open-source intelligence (OSINT).
  • Memory and cultural heritage: dystopian fiction, historical narratives, and resilience to information threats.
  • Languages and translation: intercultural dialogue, Ukrainian place names in other languages, and emerging wartime vocabulary.
  • Music and digital change: contemporary Ukrainian music, encounters between musical traditions, and technology in the arts and education.
  • Communication in professional life: international marketing, tourism, consumer values across cultures, and soft skills developed through academic mobility.

Discover what fellow students are researching, ask questions, support friends who are presenting, and find a topic you would like to explore further. With presentations in Ukrainian and English, the conference also offers a chance to experience academic English in a real research setting.
