State Scholarships for Academic and Academic-Teaching Staff

Scholars of Uzhhorod University Received State Scholarships Based on the Results of Ranking in the National Research Information System of Ukraine

On 29 October 2026, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine approved the results of the first wave of awarding state scholarships to academic and academic-teaching staff based on the results of ranking in the National Research Information System of Ukraine (NRIS).

In accordance with Order No. 1857 of the Ministry of Education and Science of 29 October 2026, state scholarships were awarded to 1,934 academic and academic-teaching staff of Ukraine for the period from October 2026 to September 2028.

Among the first-wave scholarship recipients are 20 academic and academic-teaching staff of Uzhhorod University who demonstrated high results in research activity in the relevant research fields. In particular, state scholarships were awarded in the following research fields:

Physics, Nuclear Physics and Astronomy - 1 scholarship;

Chemistry, Chemical Technologies and Pharmacy - 5 scholarships;

Biology, Biotechnology, Medicine and Rehabilitation - 5 scholarships;

Information Technologies and Electronics - 1 scholarship;

Safe, Clean Energy and Energy Efficiency - 1 scholarship;

Earth and Environmental Sciences - 3 scholarships;

Economic Transformations, Business, Administration and Law - 3 scholarships;

Human Capital Development, Social Sciences and Journalism - 1 scholarship.

It is expected that, based on the results of the second wave, another 8 young scholars of Uzhhorod University will receive state scholarships.

The results of the ranking of researchers and information on the awarding of state scholarships have been published in the open dashboard of the National Research Information System of Ukraine. The information platform allows viewing individual ranking indicators of scholars, their positions in the relevant research fields, as well as searching by institution, region and other criteria.

The awarding of state scholarships is an important recognition of the research achievements of Uzhhorod University researchers, a confirmation of their effectiveness and significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian science.
