Training of Persons with Disabilities at the Driving School – New Opportunities from 2024
From 2024, the Driving School of Uzhhorod University has been accredited to provide training for drivers among persons with disabilities.
This step is aimed at ensuring equal access to the acquisition of driving skills for all interested persons. The training programme is adapted to the needs of people with disabilities: experienced instructors have been engaged, and safe and comfortable conditions for training have been created.
The material and technical facilities of the driving school include a specially equipped room that meets the accessibility requirements for persons with reduced mobility.
For practical training, the driving school uses two vehicles fully adapted for persons with limb amputations or musculoskeletal disorders. Both vehicles are equipped with hand controls. One vehicle has a manual transmission, and the other has an automatic one, which allows choosing the most suitable option for each trainee.
The driving school also organises training for persons with hearing impairments. The training process is conducted taking into account the special communication needs of the trainees, which ensures effective assimilation of both theoretical material and practical driving skills.
We invite everyone who seeks to acquire driving skills in conditions of full accessibility to enrol!
