E-learning
The Information Technology Centre of UzhU began the implementation of the electronic form of education at the university in 2014 (Order No. 71/01-17 of 03.10.2014). The Moodle platform became the basis for e-learning, opening up broad opportunities for organising the educational environment. One of the first stages of implementation is the creation of a single digital archive of teaching and methodological materials – electronic courses, lectures, workshops, etc., which will become available to students. In addition, the platform is an online environment for interaction between students and teachers and among students themselves.
What is Moodle?
– it is a flexible educational process management platform that optimises learning processes and adapts to modern requirements. The free platform serves to implement e-learning, which allows creating electronic courses and providing learners with access to them, thus organising learning on the principle of "anywhere and anytime". In addition, the Moodle system is the most popular platform for organising e-learning (used in more than 200 countries and 150 thousand organisations worldwide). In Ukraine, more than 1000 sites are officially registered.

It is focused primarily on organising interaction between the teacher and students, and is used to support full-time, part-time, and now also distance forms of education and to organise full-fledged e-learning.
Using Moodle, teachers can provide access to educational materials (methodological recommendations, lecture notes, self-assessment questions, laboratory and practical work, presentations, etc.), send messages to students, distribute, collect and check assignments, and keep electronic registers of grades and attendance. To facilitate contact between the teacher and the learner of a distance course, or between student and student, there are a number of so-called resources: forums, chats, surveys, tests, blogs and others. All of these are called dynamic resources. A student's work with them can be assessed by the teacher manually or automatically (for example, when working with tests). Assignments in the Moodle system can be completed both during class and at home in free time.
Educational information and the named interactive resources in Moodle are organised in the form of courses, for which, in addition to the author, a manager (an editor who fills the course with educational information) and an assistant (they will help organise the knowledge control process) can be appointed. Gradually, a course can be transformed and developed into a separate innovative type of textbook that is constantly improved and supplemented through work with it by learners. For example, sometimes students' questions on a forum can better reveal a certain issue of the course than the author's text.
Working in such a system is intuitive for every Internet user – filling materials and accessing them do not require special knowledge in the field of information technology.
Procedure for the functioning and filling of the system

The address of the platform – e-learn.uzhnu.edu.ua
Support of the Moodle e-learning system is carried out by the e-learning department of the Information Technology Centre. Specialists of the department constantly provide consulting and training for teachers and staff on the use of the platform and new features, and help improve skills in working with content.
The e-learning department interacts with responsible persons at the faculties who coordinate the work of faculty staff and students on the Moodle platform. Teachers and students cannot register independently on the e-learning site. To obtain personal access to the system and create courses, you need to contact the responsible person of your faculty. Faculty teachers can independently post educational materials and fill content. To upload materials, you need to prepare files according to the recommendations and follow the steps in the video instruction. Further work with the Moodle platform is covered in video materials posted on the YouTube channel of the e-learning department. Education seekers receive user access to educational materials. What does this mean? Users can view materials, complete assignments and work in the system at any time convenient for them. The differentiation of accesses to the platform provides the learning goal for education seekers, coordination of work for managers, and thanks to this, confidentiality and data security are maintained.
