Uzhhorod University joined the discussion of prospects for Ukrainian-Slovak cooperation in the field of educational and project initiatives
A working meeting of the leadership of the Zakarpattia Regional Council and the Regional Military Administration with a delegation of the Slovak Drone Alliance took place in Uzhhorod. The event brought together representatives of government, business and universities of the two countries to discuss potential opportunities for developing joint initiatives.
Uzhhorod University was represented at the meeting by Vice-Rector for Research and Pedagogical Work Myroslava Lendiel, representatives of the Engineering and Technical Faculty, the Faculty of Biology, the Faculty of Information Technology, and the Center for Innovative Defence Technologies.
On the Slovak side, the alliance's strategic advisers Michaela Kollarova and Lubos Knot, project manager Slavomir Hal, as well as representatives of relevant companies took part in the discussion.
During the meeting, the participants considered the general prospects for future regional partnership. Particular attention was paid to intentions to establish interaction between universities and alliances of both countries.
Among the areas that may in the future become a basis for joint work, the following were outlined:
- training of qualified specialists and exchange of academic experience;
- elaboration of ideas for joint projects and search for opportunities for their funding;
- study of the potential for applying digital and unmanned solutions in civilian spheres.
Following the results of the meeting, the parties expressed interest in maintaining the dialogue and agreed to consider in more detail in the future options for establishing direct contacts between scientific, educational and production circles of Ukraine and Slovakia.
