On Friday, November 12, 2021, UzhNU Rector's office hosted an official meeting between the Rector Volodymyr Smolanka and a distinguished foreign delegation consisting of State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Martin Klus, the Rector of the University of Economics and Management in Bratislava Lubos Cibak. The meeting was attended by Myroslava Lendel, Vice-Rector of Uzhhorod National University for Academic Affairs and Research, and Ihor Povkhan, the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies.

Volodymyr Smolanka stressed that Uzhhorod National University had fruitful academic and scientific cooperation with some leading Slovak universities. Currently, Uzhhorod National University and Higher School of Economics and Management in Bratislava have an agreement on double degree program. The meeting also focused on deepening cooperation between Slovak higher education institutions and Uzhhorod National University, in particular on expanding joint academic mobility programs.
