UzhNU starts cooperation with the University of Cologne
An international cooperation agreement between the SRI for Ecclesiastical and State Law and Church and State Relations of UzhNU and the Institute for Canon Law and Church History of Rhine of the University of Cologne, which ranks the third by the number of students in Germany, was signed on August 18, 2015.
On behalf of the Rector of UzhNU, Professor Volodymyr Smolanka, the agreement was signed by the Director of the SRI for Ecclesiastical and State Law and Church and State Relations, Doctor of Theology, Candidate of Juridical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of International Law Oleksandr Bilash (Archimandrite Yevfrosyn). On behalf of the University of Cologne the document was signed by the Director of the Institute for Canon Law and Church History of Rhine, Doctor of Law, Prof. Dr. Stefan Muckel.
The parties agreed on further cooperation in the field of ecclesiastical and state law, research and study of the history of church and state relations.
By the order of the Dean of the Faculty of Law of UzhNU Prof. Yaroslav Lazur, Associate Professor Oleksandr Bilash also visited the Faculty of Law and Economics of the University of Bonn where he met with the director of the Institute for Ecclesiastical and State Law of the Dioceses of Germany, Doctor of Law, Prof. Ansgar Hense and acquainted himself with the history, activities and the bibliographic fund of the Institute and the Faculty.
