A delegation of the Jesuit College in Innsbruck visited Uzhhorod National University
On Friday, 14 March, an Austrian delegation headed by the rector of the Jesuit College in Innsbruck (Austria), Father Christian Marte, paid a working visit to Uzhhorod National University.Also among the guests was the Doctor of Ecumenical Theology, Fr Mykhailo Stancyshyn.
The Jesuit College in Innsbruck was founded in 1562. Today it is home to about 40 Jesuits who carry out various academic and pastoral tasks: at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Innsbruck, in the Jesuit Church, in the youth centre, and in the university parish.
The guests were welcomed by Vice-Rector Myroslava Lendiel, Head of the International Relations Department Oksana Svezhentseva, and Antonina Bulyna, a specialist of the International Relations Department. First of all, the Vice-Rector Myroslava Lendiel presented the basic information about UzhNU, its academic departments, staff, and international cooperation. Later, a rich conversation took place about education and life of Ukrainians during the full-scale invasion, history, and world politics news. The Austrian delegation showed their full support for the Ukrainian people and their belief in the near peace and European intentions of Ukraine.
