UzhNU signed a cooperation agreement with the American volunteer organisation "International Medical Response"

On Friday, 10 November, UzhNU hosted the final meeting between the university administration and a group of doctors from the United States, representing SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and Maimonides Medical Centre. The team consists of:  Amberine Slim, Joshua Schiller, Mert Erogul, Eli Garmush, Sam Kim, Emily Anks, Eric Roseman, Ruben Straer and Pete Bober spent a week on a working visit to Uzhhorod National University, where they got acquainted with the School of Medicine and School of Medicine #2, gave lectures and practical classes for students and collaborated with teachers.

The Rector of UzhNU Volodymyr Smolanka thanked the guests for the fruitful work done at the university, as well as for the comprehensive assistance and support of the United States to the Ukrainian people. The members of the working group shared their experience and impressions of the university, as well as positive feedback on cooperation with medical students. During the meeting, they discussed ideas for future steps of cooperation. It was decided to consolidate the results of the work in a cooperation agreement between UzhNU and the International Medical Response volunteer organisation, which includes members of the group, which will contribute to the development of joint educational and research projects. The cooperation will include lectures, workshops or other forms of training for students, joint organisation of training courses, trips, conferences, seminars, events aimed at promoting intercultural dialogue, cooperation in research activities, etc.
