IT students of UzhNU reached the semifinal of the world championship on programming!
The best summer rest for IT students of UzhNU is the preparation for international competitions. Top rated All-Ukrainian Student Competition on Programming in which they participated is part of the ACM-ICPC International Collegiate Programming Contest. Its second stage took place on September 11-13 which was considered as the quarterfinal of the International Collegiate Programming Contest.
33 best teams from five western oblasts of Ukraine (Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Rivne and Ternopil) competed in Lviv. We would like to note that the second stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Competition on Programming was held in five regions of Ukraine: Kyiv, Western, Eastern, Southern and Central. Chernivtsi and Khmelnytsky teams which had previously competed in the western region, moved to the central one where the rivalry is not so intense.
Last year, by the way, our teams won the 2nd, 7th and 9th places in the same competition.
This year they confirmed their high level by finishing in the 2nd, 4th, 8th and 12th places:
