"CODE 4.5.0." - a documentary about the war made by students of journalism at UzhNU

"Code 4.5.0." is a TV project created by third-year students of the Department of Journalism of Uzhhorod National University as part of the course "Principles of Documentary Films" taught by the Head of the Department of Journalism, a TV journalist Yevhen Solomin. Journalists-to-be have been collecting all the photos and videos available online since February 24, 2022, when Russia started the war against Ukraine. "We have been and continue to be participants or witnesses of the unprecedented resistance, the heroism of ordinary unarmed people who stopped columns of tanks or sang the Ukrainian National Anthem under the gunfirefrom the enemies. In a short time, we have formed unshakable faith in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, an unprecedented unity of the Ukrainian nation and an unswerving confidence in victory over the enemy, - says the author of the idea Yevhen Solomin. History is made right before our eyes. That's why we started processing all the available material."

Students have worked on individual episodes, which were named by calendar dates ("February 24", "February 25", etc.). When more than fifty stories of the war were made, they were joined into parts. The work on the first part has already been finished (its authors are students of jornalism Yuliia Derdyuk and Anastasiia Labyk), It reflects the first days of the war and is called "Our enemies shall vanish, like the dew in the sun," it is the line of the Ukrainian Anthem. The authors of the documentary cannot say exactly how many parts there will be, because everything will depend on the situation at the frontline. However, they know for sure that the last one will be called "Victory: And we shall rule, brothers, in our land!"

As for the name of the TV project "Code 4.5.0.", It's choice wasn't accidental, because in the language of the military "4.5.0." means that everything is fine, everything is calm! Students of journalism are looking forward to working on the last part of the project, because it will mean one thing: Ukraine has won the war!
